As Yuvraj struggled for the third match, Chopra was again called to Nagpur to take up the match. This is when Australia won against India after a huge gap of 35 years. From here, Chopra’s performance average also dropped from 46 to 23. Later, Gautam Gambhir took Chopra’s position in the team and Wasim Jaffer was made a partner for Sehwag in the test matches. To be honest, he was out of the game because of his low scoring rate from then.
Akash Chopra played in IPL 2008 and IPL 2009 for Kolkata Knight Riders but he was abandoned from the team because his performance was not up to the mark for T-20 cricket. In 2011, he played for Rajasthan Royals and gave a poor performance so that was certain to be his last match. He signed the retirement in 2015.
